What happens then
We interview four to send you one.
On paper all four look right, which is why we interview them. The conversation is where you find out that three of them are not right for this role, at this business, now.
- 01
The market map
We hold live maps of every sector we recruit in and check them monthly. Your search starts inside the map, picking the businesses most likely to employ the person you need.
- 02
The longlist
20 to 30 names for a genuinely niche search, up to 250 where the market is bigger. Everyone on it meets the person spec and has a reason to want what you are selling.
- 03
Our own interview
Thirty to forty five minutes, video or phone, whichever you prefer. Technical ability and experience, then the two that get skipped: what they actually want next, and whether they will really move.
- 04
The shortlist
Roughly one in four gets through. Each arrives with a cover sheet carrying what the interview found and a CV cannot: salary expectation, notice, counter-offer risk, and what it would take to move them.
- 05
After submission
We run the process the way you want it run, closely prepped or hands off. One thing is not optional. We call you and the candidate after every interview, because motivation moves during a process.
When this goes wrong elsewhere, it usually goes wrong the same way. A shortlist of people who read well and never really wanted the job. Motivation and aspiration are the hardest things to check and the easiest to skip, and they are what decides whether your offer gets accepted.
